Upcoming events and conferences

Mining Indaba Cape Town, February 5-8

The GBA will be contributing to several sessions in the official and side programme of events (including the launch of the GRI Mining Standard) to highlight the work of the Battery Passport as well as the CMAG research.

Online Insight Session with Save the Children and The Centre for Child Rights, January 30

On January 30 from 14:00-15:00 CET, the GBA is thrilled to invite Save the Children and The Centre for Child Rights and Business to host an insight session dedicated to the establishment of a child labour remediation and child protection system in Cobalt ASM in DRC.

This approach combines child labour remediation and youth development programmes with other activities to address systematic issues. Supporting this work enables businesses to address child labour risks downstream in their supply chains related to the sourcing of cobalt. Under the GBA’s Child Labour Index, the Hub can be a practical tool to fulfil corporate due diligence obligations.

The GBA Secretariat would like to sincerely thank our members for joining us in Brussels for this milestone event and is looking forward to working closely with you over the coming months and years to make sustainable battery value chains a reality by 2030!
